SITE PROJECT OFFICER
We are seeking a colleague to be a part of our team as Site Project Officer based in-person at Machrihanish Airfield near Campbeltown.
This position needs someone who is hands-on, well-organised, trustworthy, and enjoys working on multiple projects at once. It will involve a mix of technical, organisational, and people work.
We are open to varied backgrounds, so if you have a keen interest in technology and have excellent organisation skills even if you don’t meet every criteria, we’d like to hear from you.
You would be working on-site alongside an engineer out of a newly refurbished building on the business park which houses a workshop, operations centre, a rocket engine test facility, an office working space, and other exciting space related developments we are actively investing in.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities

Project Management
-
Managing Exotopic’s projects that are implemented at MACC Developments.
-
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on cost and on quality.

Managing customer relationships associated with the projects at the Machrihanish site
-

Organising Mach–X rocketry competition events
-
This is an annual rocketry competition that involves universities from all over the UK and abroad. Responsibilities include:
-
Leading the planning work for the operation, logistics, and planning/managing communication with teams and stakeholders.

During the 6 months preceding the competition, being responsible for organising various stages of review of designs (expert review is conducted by others) for the university teams
-
Arranging transport, catering and accommodation for all the university teams, Exotopic team members and other support staff

Planning the itinerary for the event

Liaising with MACC Developments regarding support
-
Organising the necessary permissions
-
Safety and risk assessment in conjunctions with the range safety officers
-
Work towards getting qualifications in amateur rocketry

Supporting customers on-site with activities related to test campaigns

Qualifications:

Science / Engineering degree.

Non-degree qualifications (technician, machinist, labourer, etc).
