The British Embassy in Muscat hosted the Omani space community for an evening of conversations on innovation, partnership and the future of the Sultanate’s growing space sector.
The meeting brought together leaders from Oman, including His Highness Sayyid Azzan bin Qais Al Said, and the United Kingdom, including Exotopic CEO Andy Grey, to explore ways to work together to open new horizons in space technology, investment and long-term cooperation.
Exotopic is delivering the Oman Space Accelerator Programme with Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology – Oman and continues to support Etlaq Spaceport.
Oman, with support from international partners and suppliers, has delivered a Space Accelerator Programme, founded a spaceport, opened a Space Engineering Laboratory at Sultan Qaboos University, delivered space education and outreach, recently signed a large national satellite procurement with Airbus Defence and Space, and twice hosted the MiddleEastSpaceConference.
Solid foundations from which to grow a thriving space sector, and Exotopic looks forward to continuing to contribute.
