About the Enterprise

Black Logo (TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND).png

Chronic infected leg wounds are a silent epidemic, impacting over 2.2 million people in the UK and costing the global economy 15 billion USD. Underlying conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and immune disorders prevent healthy wound and current treatments fail to control infection or stimulate healing effectively and antibiotics overreliance drives antimicrobial resistance.

PDPatch is a revolutionary wound dressing, harnessing the active therapeutic properties of photodynamic therapy (PDT) to eradicate bacteria and accelerate tissue regeneration, without antibiotics. PDPatch integrates our photosensitiser-delivering PhotOxy Gel with specialised LED fibre optics providing on-demand therapy.

Designed for both hospitals and home care, PDPatch simplifies treatment and reduces healthcare costs.

Over the next decade, PDPatch aims to transform global wound care by delivering safe, accessible and antibiotic-free healing, revolutionising wound care.
